Spot & Tango is a fresh, natural dog food start-up. What started as just Fresh or UnKibble meal plans has evolved into a well rounded brand including Snacks, Supplements, Toppers, PupGum, Merch and more to come.
I joined as the sole designer in November of 2022. We were going through a rebrand with brand guidelines created by DayJob. I implemented the rebrand across all channels including packaging, collateral, photography, email, social, paid ads and web. Since then I’ve continued to grow the brand to new products and channels.

Shipper Box
I completed this project from concept to print ready files. I wanted the box to have something wrapping around to keep it visually interesting on all sides. Our boxes have become a focal point, generating numerous tagged photos from customers on delivery day.
Snacks
Rolling with an initial front layout design from our branding agency, I created the concept of each bag having its own bold background pattern. This approach not only distinguishes each different Snack but also encapsulates the joy of feeding your dog a treat. I illustrated the tongue sticking out portrait style dogs to celebrate the adorable goofiness of a good dog.
UnKibble
I assisted with final tweaks and preparing print-ready files for bag designs from our branding agency. I created the Turkey + Sweet Potato bag when we launched a new recipe. I also update designs as needed for recipe reformulations, vendor transitions, etc.
Waste Bags
While creating the designs for this dog parent staple I drew inspiration from the most iconic plastic bag and gave it a dog themed twist.
Snuffle Mat
I had the oppourtunity to create a Snuffle mat from product to packaging. For the mat itself I wanted to show off our classic dog doodles, slotting them together to make the mat functional. The box then features some of those doodles. I used a similar motif for the Snuffle Mat product logo to tie it all together.
Supplements
I made final adjustments and prepared print-ready files for these. After we launched our rebrand we realized that Supplements lacked a distinctive product name logo, which all other products had. I developed a logo for Supplements, which will soon be implemented on the containers ensuring consistency across all of our our product lines.
Toppers
Keeping in line with the rest of our products packaging I featured a dog doodle with emphasis on the tongue licking to highlight how this product makes bowls licked clean.
Merch
We dipped our toe into some merch for customers so I had the pleasure of creating totes, hats and a dog bandana. I wanted the bags to have a design on them that related to their use, storing all your dog’s stuff to go outside, while the bandana took traditional paisely motifs and added our doodle style spin on them.

Office Mural
When we moved offices I was given the oppourtunity to created a mural for the entry way of our office. It was very fun to bring the dog doodles to a big scale wrapping around our walls!
